People Growing Hope & Recovery has been moving toward a goal of reaching addicts and their community world wide with hope for a future.

To this end we sought non profit status as a 501(c)(3) and on March 7, 2022 The IRS granted the status with a retroactive effective date of August 6, 2021. Now we move into the next phase of this journey.

Over the last few months we have sought official Non Profit status.

On March 7, 2022 The federal Government recognized us as a 501(C)(3) under the status of a Public Charity classification 509(a)(2). The status was declared retroactive to August 6,2921.

The difference is:

Donors who give to a public charity can deduct up to 60% of their adjusted gross income (AGI) on their annual taxes. A donation to a private foundation may be limited to 30% of their AGI.
